Christine Szustaczek, MCM, APR, SCMP, FCPRS, is Vice-President, Communications at the University of Toronto, one of the world’s leading research-intensive universities. An award-winning communications executive and trusted advisor, she brings more than 25 years of experience advancing organizational reputation, strengthening stakeholder trust, and leading high-performing teams through complexity and change.
Prior to joining the University of Toronto’s executive leadership team, she served as Vice-President, External Relations and Chief Communications Officer at Sheridan College, where her portfolio included advancement, government relations, community engagement, and special events. She also spent a decade running a successful consultancy serving mission-driven organizations.
Christine is recognized nationally for advancing the communications profession through leadership, mentorship, speaking engagements, and award-winning communications programs. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS), accredited by two professional associations, a published author in academic journals, and a sessional instructor in the Master of Communications Management (MCM) program at McMaster University.
